Purchasing a Cool Mist Diffuser

Of course I sell diffusers! doTerra offers three high quality no heat diffusers. But I don't own any of them.  Yet! Yes, I can buy them at wholesale, but as new Independent Product Consultant on a budget, I have decided to put my money into purchasing essential oils.

Cold diffuser is the recommended way to make the most of therapeutic essential oils.  Heat based diffusers can break down the natural aromatic compounds of essential oils. Humidifiers use a different process to create vapor and can be damaged if not designed to handle essential oils.

Most cool mist diffusers use super fast ultrasonic vibration to atomize essential oils and blend them with water into a vapor.  They do not leave an oily residue on surfaces or your skin. The amount of humidity produced is less than a humidifier (which could be good for some reactive airways!).

Expect to pay between $75 and $100 for a good quality diffuser, especially if you want features such as timers and output control.  Here are four options, ranging from value to high end.

How to Sneak Essential Oils into Your Child's Food at School

Here's some quick and easy ways to get doTerra therapeutic essential oils into your children during the school day - super important during this crazy flu season!

I put one drop of On Guard Protective Blend on my children's feet every morning before school, and again every afternoon when they come home.  The typical child's immune boosting routine is a drop in the morning, then again at bedtime. But since school is where they pick up most of their bugs and last year we paid well over a grand in strep and "it's just a virus" co-pays, I want to nip potential illnesses in the bud. So it's morning, after school, and sometimes an extra drop at bedtime.

I also have a home made blend of the allergy trio (lemon, lavender, and peppermint eo's) in a roller bottle that I use on the kids as soon as they wake up.  Other doTerra users tell me that their children are able to discretely use eo's topically or internally at school.  My children aren't discrete about anything yet.  I have to sneak oils into their food and drink so they can get the therapeutic effects of eo's during the school day without causing a fuss. Here's some of the ways that I do it:

Why I'm Willing to Pay for doTerra's CPTG Promise

doTerra essential oils are tested according to the company's internal quality standard, called CPTG.  CPTG stands for Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade.  It's doTerra's personal quality benchmark.  CPTG was created because there is no national or international standard for essential oil quality. There is no certification board and there are no officially recognized "grades" of essential oils.  doTerra is declaring a standard for itself.  I call it "The CPTG Promise."

doTerra CPTG Oils are Consistently Pure

Every batch of doTerra CPTG essential oils is tested according to CPTG standards.  There are no man made or naturally occurring additives, no fillers, no artificial ingredients that can dilute the potency of the eo or affect its safety.  The source plants are organically grown, but still tested to make sure that accidental cross contamination did not occur.  This ensures the purity of doTerra essential oils.

Using Essential Oils to Naturally Manage Allergy Symptoms

Testimonials from doTerra users who claim to control seasonal allergy symptoms by combining three essential oils and using them regularly are all over the Internet.  Endless allergy misery was the first health concern that led our family to doTerra.  How did our experience compare?

Trust me, we know allergies in this house.  I used to be a Certified Asthma Educator.  Spring and fall are torture for me and my children despite all my "educated" efforts at controlling allergy triggers.

My 6 year old son has had years of raccoon eyes, green nasal drainage, sinus and ear infections, and night after night of endless coughing from allergy induced asthma. My 8 year old daughter, who has special needs, has dealt with the same but with the added insult of an endlessly running nose that she can't even wipe or blow without help.  I had sinus surgery 10 years ago, and have been fantasizing about surgery #2 for 6 years.

My daughter getting a breathing treatment while wearing an oscillating vest to drain her sinuses and lungs. She did this  for 20 minutes twice a day from fall through the end of spring allergy season.

We were all maxed out on OTC and prescription allergy medications, yet still suffered!  Allergies and sinus are what originally led me to doTerra.  I had been dealing with an allergy triggered sinus headache for a week.  Sad to say,  but nothing new.  I told a friend I was ready to cut my own head off, and she came straight over with a purse full of doTerra essential oils.
